Tana Terms of Service

Effective date: September 30, 2026
Last updated: September 30, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tana, a social networking and live voice community service operated by Hong Kong Sonuvy Technology Limited (“Tana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, signing in, or using Tana, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

1. The Tana service

Tana helps people meet and communicate through live voice rooms and social features. Depending on availability and your region, the service may let you:

Features may change as we improve the service, respond to safety concerns, or comply with law. We may limit a feature by account, device, or region when reasonably necessary.

2. Eligibility and minors

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Tana. Tana is intended only for adults and is not directed to children or anyone under 18.

3. Accounts and identity

You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for deceptive purposes, sell or transfer an account, or use another person's account without permission.

Tana does not provide an anonymous posting mode. Other users may see the nickname, avatar, account code, and profile details that you choose or that the service displays. Content and safety activity remain associated with an internal account identifier even when a display name is used.

4. User content

“User Content” includes profile information, room names and covers, live voice, room messages, private messages, Moments, comments, text, photographs, audio, and other material you submit or transmit through Tana.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Tana a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, transmit, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service and to make the content available to the audiences you select. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except where continued retention is reasonably required for backups, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement.

You represent that you own your User Content or have all permissions needed to provide it, and that its use on Tana does not violate another person's rights or any law. Do not submit confidential information that you do not want the intended audience to receive.

5. Safety and prohibited conduct

You must follow our Community Guidelines. Among other things, you may not use Tana to publish, request, promote, or facilitate:

We may use technical controls, user reports, and human review to identify content or behavior that may violate these rules. We may delay, limit, reject, remove, or preserve content; restrict particular features; mute or remove users from rooms; suspend or terminate accounts; and report conduct to appropriate authorities when required or reasonably necessary. Enforcement may occur with or without advance notice where safety, law, or service integrity requires it.

6. Reporting and blocking

Tana includes tools to report users, rooms, private messages, room messages, Moments, and other supported content. Reports may include the reported content, account identifiers, and technical context needed for review. You can also block another user and manage blocked users in Settings. Blocking limits supported interactions, but it does not erase content already shared with other people or prevent every possible encounter in a public room.

If you encounter an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services. Do not rely on Tana as an emergency service.

7. Live rooms and communications

Live voice rooms and public room messages may be heard or seen by other room participants. Private messages are delivered to their intended participants, but recipients may retain or share what they receive. Do not disclose passwords, financial details, government identifiers, precise location, or other sensitive information in live or social spaces.

8. Intellectual property

The Tana software, branding, interface, and content supplied by us are owned by Hong Kong Sonuvy Technology Limited or the applicable licensors and are protected by law. Except for the limited rights needed to use the service, these Terms do not transfer our intellectual property to you.

If you believe content on Tana infringes your copyright or other rights, email JaydonKanae5411@outlook.com with your contact information, identification of the protected work, the location of the reported content, the reason for your claim, and a statement that the information supplied is accurate and submitted in good faith.

9. Third-party services

Tana relies on service providers to deliver core functions, including Sign in with Apple for authentication, Tencent Cloud Chat for messaging, Agora for real-time voice communication, and Tencent Cloud Object Storage for user media storage and delivery. Their processing is described in our Privacy Policy. Third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

10. Account restriction and deletion

You may stop using Tana at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create a safety or security risk, expose us or others to legal liability, or where required by law.

The in-app “Delete Account Data” control removes local credentials and prevents that account from signing in again on that device. It does not by itself confirm deletion of server-side records. To request deletion of your account and associated server-side personal data, contact JaydonKanae5411@outlook.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will delete or anonymize data that is no longer necessary, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, backup, and dispute-resolution retention requirements. Uninstalling Tana does not delete a server-side account.

11. Service availability and disclaimers

We work to keep Tana available and safe, but live communications and online services can be interrupted by network conditions, maintenance, third-party outages, or events outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, Tana is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hong Kong Sonuvy Technology Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Tana. Any limitation applies only to the extent allowed by applicable consumer law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections and dispute rights in your place of residence continue to apply where the law requires.

14. Apple App Store terms

These Terms are between you and Hong Kong Sonuvy Technology Limited, not Apple. We are responsible for Tana and its support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Tana. You may use Tana only on Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the provisions applicable to your licensed use of the iOS app and may enforce those provisions.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, safety practices, or law. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights. Continuing to use Tana after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms, where permitted by law.
