Tana Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026
Last updated: October 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hong Kong Sonuvy Technology Limited (“Tana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use Tana. Tana is a social networking and live voice community app that provides profiles, voice rooms, private messaging, Moments, friends, follows, reporting, and blocking features.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your internal user ID, account code, login credentials or authentication tokens, nickname, avatar, profile description, gender, birthday or age information, country or region, language, and other profile fields you choose to provide. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the Apple user identifier and may receive your name and email address according to your Apple sharing choices.

User content and communications

We process content you create, upload, send, or receive through Tana, including Moments, comments, profile and room images, room names and descriptions, public room messages, private messages, images, emoji, audio messages, and live voice audio needed to provide real-time rooms. Public content can be seen by other users. Private messages are made available to their intended participants.

Social and safety activity

We collect information about room participation, friends, follows, followers, profile visits, blocks, reports, moderation actions, and your interactions with other users and content. When you submit a report, we process the reported content, reason, involved account identifiers, and related technical context so that we can investigate it.

Device, network, and usage information

We may collect operating system, app version and build number, device model, language, region, time zone, network status, IP address, identifiers used to operate or secure the service, feature activity, diagnostics, crash information, timestamps, and server logs.

Approximate location

We may derive a coarse country- or region-level location from information such as your IP address, selected country or region, language, and time zone to operate regional services, localize the experience, prevent abuse, and meet legal requirements. Tana does not request precise GPS location for its core social features.

Permissions and media

With your device permission, Tana may access the microphone for voice rooms and voice messages, and your photo library or camera for profile images, room covers, chat images, and Moments. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Support information

If you contact us, we collect your contact details, the content of your request, and any files or technical information you provide so that we can respond and troubleshoot.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

3. Content safety and moderation

Tana is a user-generated content service. We may use technical controls, user reports, and human review to screen, investigate, limit, or remove content and accounts that may violate our Community Guidelines, Terms, or law. Content submitted in a report may be reviewed by authorized personnel. We may preserve relevant records when needed for safety investigations, appeals, fraud prevention, legal requests, or enforcement.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising. We may share or make information available in these circumstances:

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use contractual, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and applicable law.

5. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service and for legitimate purposes such as security, moderation, fraud prevention, backups, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention varies by data type and context. Content may remain visible until you remove it, your account is deleted, or we take moderation action. Backup copies and records required for safety or law may remain for a limited additional period.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials, use a unique password, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of certain personal information. You can update supported profile fields in the app, remove supported content, manage blocked users in Settings, and control microphone and photo permissions in iOS Settings.

The in-app “Delete Account Data” control removes local credentials and prevents that account from signing in again on that device. It does not by itself confirm deletion of server-side records. To request deletion of your account and associated server-side personal data, or to exercise another privacy right, email JaydonKanae5411@outlook.com. We may verify your identity before acting. We may retain information where required or permitted for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, backups, and dispute resolution.

Uninstalling the app removes the app and locally stored app data from that device, but it does not delete a server-side account or content already delivered to other users.

8. Age eligibility

Tana is intended only for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create or use an account. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to restrict the account and remove the information as required. Parents or guardians can contact us with a request or safety concern.

9. Protecting the Safety of Minors

Zero-tolerance policy

Tana strictly prohibits any child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behavior. This includes uploading, sharing, distributing, or linking to child sexual abuse material, sexually suggestive images of children, or information intended to induce a child to engage in sexual activity. We will promptly remove such content and permanently ban accounts involved, subject to investigation and applicable law.

Safety and reporting measures

We use technical screening and human review, together with user reports, to identify, investigate, and remove content or behavior that violates our rules. Users can report suspicious or inappropriate content through in-app reporting tools or by contacting us at JaydonKanae5411@outlook.com. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in content removal or account restrictions.

Children’s data and age restrictions

Tana is intended only for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to register or use the service, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we will take steps to restrict the account and delete that information as required. We do not knowingly serve personalized advertising to children or track children’s precise location.

Our commitment and contact

We recognize the protection of children from sexual exploitation as a core responsibility and support the principles of Article 34 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and applicable child-safety standards. If you find content or behavior that may put a child at risk, contact us at JaydonKanae5411@outlook.com. We will review the report and take appropriate action promptly.

10. Public content and your safety

Information shared on a public profile, in Moments, or in a public voice room may be seen, heard, saved, or shared by other users. Avoid posting sensitive personal information such as passwords, financial details, government identifiers, precise home addresses, or private contact information.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. If you do not agree with an updated policy, you may stop using Tana and request account deletion.
